We are committed to providing the highest-quality therapeutic services to the children of Woodstock and the surrounding communities. We value parent and caregiver involvement, and believe that children reach their highest potential when parents and caregivers are actively involved in the therapeutic process. To that end, therapy sessions are conducted in families' homes, daycare centers, and other community locations. Based on the needs of the child and family, therapy sessions can take place in different locations if necessary, so that behavioral, functional, and communicative needs can be addressed in the locations that the child visits most often.

When you contact Quiet Corner Speech & Language LLC, you will speak directly with Christina, who will answer any questions you might have about the process. If you are interested in exploring services, Christina will take important information from you over the phone, then schedule a time to meet in person for a free consultation. At that time, you will have the opportunity to discuss your child's needs and what services you are most interested in (screening, evaluation, therapy, consultation with other professionals involved in your child's care, IEP/PPT support services, etc). In order to help us understand your family's needs, please bring whatever documentation you already have to this meeting (for example, past medical/educational/therapy-related evaluations or progress reports, IEPs, report cards, etc). These documents will be reviewed briefly in order to help us understand your child's needs and make appropriate recommendations for how to proceed.

At the conclusion of the consultation, we will discuss what services are available to meet your child's needs. If you are interested in pursuing services, they can be scheduled at that time, or at a later time if you so choose.

Billing/Fees

We are participating providers with Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, Aetna, and Cigna.

Many families are able to receive reimbursement for out-of-pocket expenses incurred for speech therapy. We are available to provide guidance on questions to ask your insurance company when inquiring about coverage for speech and language services. It is the responsibility of each family to understand what coverage their health insurance plan offers for speech-language therapy services, if at all. For private pay clients, upon request, we will provide coded documentation for families to submit to their insurance carrier for reimbursement of covered services. Please contact us directly to inquire about session fees.

Payment is due at the beginning of each session, including any applicable co-payments, co-insurance, or private pay fees. Your insurance carrier requires that we collect these fees, and exceptions to this rule cannot be made.

For private pay patients, discounts are available for families who choose to pre-pay for a month's worth of services at the time of the first session in a month. Cash discounts are also available. Payment forms accepted are cash, check, and major credit cards.

Cancellation Policy

Your time is important, as is ours. In order for your child to receive the maximum benefit from their therapy, it is vitally important that they attend all scheduled sessions. Please provide at least 24 hours notice should you need to cancel or reschedule a session.

Please understand that we cannot bill insurance for missed appointments.

For patients utilizing insurance benefits, we reserve the right to bill a cancellation fee for sessions canceled with less than 24 hours notice and "no-shows," as allowable according to the insurance contract. This fee is the patient's responsibility and cannot be paid by the insurance carrier. Patients will be made aware of this fee at the time services are initiated.

For private pay patients, sessions that are canceled with less than 24 hours notice, as well as all “no-shows,” will be billed at the regular session rate. For cancellations, the session may be made up within 30 days without incurring any additional fees. "No-shows" may not be made up without an additional fee.
